Terms of use
For the use of share.ux.nl. Last updated on 10 August 2026.
What the service is
A way to share text and files in encrypted form, free of charge and without an account. The encryption happens in your own browser; we hold only unreadable data and delete it as soon as the link expires.
What you do not use it for
- Anything unlawful, or to cause someone harm.
- Malicious software, phishing, or misleading the recipient.
- Material someone else holds rights to and you do not.
- As storage: this is a way to pass something on, not an archive.
- Automated use at scale, or to work around the limits.
Limits
Each shared link allows at most 20 files, 2 GB per file and 5 GB in total, and at most 10 recipients. A link is valid for 30 days at most. Hourly limits apply per IP address. These numbers may change where that is needed to keep the service standing.
What we may do
We cannot see what you share, so we check nothing in advance. If we receive a substantiated report of abuse, we may withdraw a shared link and delete its contents without warning you first. Where criminal conduct is suspected, we may share the data we do hold — the IP address and the timestamps — with the competent authorities.
We may also change or discontinue the service. If we discontinue it, we will announce that in advance unless circumstances make that impossible.
No guarantees
The service is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it available and secure, but we guarantee neither uninterrupted availability nor the preservation of your data. If you lose the key, the contents are irrecoverably gone — that is not a fault but the design.
Our liability is limited to what the law requires. For a free service without an account that means, in practice: use it for what it is, and keep your own copy of anything you do not want to lose.
Questions
Email support@ux.nl. Abuse is reported through the link at the bottom of every shared page. Dutch law applies to these terms.
